Ever tried filling up your outboard as your tender drifts relentlessly onto the rocks? This is a truly elegant solution to the problem that really works. No more will that wonderful dinner at that famous fish restaurant be marred by the taint of petrol as you struggle with can and filler, only to hear most of your last can splash into the estuary.
Flow Control (GB) Ltd has just launched their new award winning Fuel Can onto the market. Developed and marketed by two successful serial inventors on the Isle of Wight, Dawn and Paul Bone, the Flo-Control Can has many unique features to make the job so much easier.
The spout is permanently attached but stows in the handle for instant access. A second handle allows you to hold it nozzle down but nothing will come out until you have the flexible spout firmly in the tank. Then it can deliver fuel at the touch of the conveniently placed thumb control button, without spillage or overfilling, putting you in control.
The patented control can release 5 litres of fuel in just 15 seconds when you need to, or down to just trickle fuel into the tank when topping up. The control button has a safety cap to prevent accidental release and acts like a “dead mans handle”. If you drop or knock over the can, no fuel will come out until you push the button. The spout has an anti-drip sealing cap, retained on a tether and removed by a single turn. This will also keep salt water out, keeping your fuel, as well as your boat clean.
Keep a Flo-Control Fuel Can for emergency back up and, without the need to screw on spouts or fumble with funnels, you can be ready to refuel in just 5 seconds.
The cans are 5 litres in capacity, with colour coded handles* to tell you what fuel is inside, and a sunken filler hole to ensure there is room left for expansion.
