FloControl Press Release 1

Isle of Wight inventor Paul Bone has at last got his Flow Control Fuel Can on the market, and has been overwhelmed by the enormous response the Can has received.

The can was initially being made in Eastern Europe but because of quality problems all of the production has been brought back to the UK, where Paul has been able to work with local manufacturers and suppliers to assure the highest quality and spec for every can produced.

The Fuel Can certainly ticks many of the boxes that the discerning consumer is looking for. It cuts down on both spillage and emissions and reduces waste. The can’s unique patented flow control mechanism allows you to dispense 5 litres of fuel in just 15 seconds when required thus eliminating the usual glug glug effect but also, when needed, the can will just trickle fuel into the smallest of fuel tanks.

The cans have been tested in several industry sectors, including marine and garden products, where the advantages are immediately apparent. When filling the small outboard engines, you get the fuel just where you want it without spilling a drop, and for garden machinery the integrated spout means you cannot loose it, and even if you knock over the can no fuel will come out until you press the button. The addition of the spout dust cap means you keep cross contamination down to a minimum keeping your fuel and your engine clean.

Paul says ‘Inventing the fuel can was the easy bit, raising the finance and getting it made has been the hard part. Many times it felt we were never going to get there, but its great to see the can’s being made and great to see people’s response to them. With my push button watering can’s I had to create a need, with the Fuel Can’s everyone that sees them understands immediately the advantages they have over every other Fuel Can on the market’
